The selection is for fresh candidates having (or meeting the eligibility criteria) relevant qualifications (Ph.D. or M.E./M.Tech depending on the discipline) in Chemical/Electrochemical/Materials/Engineering/Science related fields.

Eligibility Criteria (As per 2025 Notification)

For 2025 Recruitment (15 Posts), the main eligibility requirements are: 

Nationality: Must be a citizen of India. 

Educational Qualification:

Ph.D. (Science) presented (or equivalent) in fields such as Chemistry/Chemical Sciences/Marine Biology/Marine Microbiology/Marine Science, or

M.E. in fields like Chemical Engineering/Technology/Metallurgy/Materials Science/Engineering/Technology/Thermal and Fluid Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering (with specialization in Thermal/Fluid Engineering), or equivalent. / M.Tech. 

Age Limit: Maximum age is 32 years as on closing date (for general category). Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms:

SC/ST: +5 years, OBC (NCL): +3 years 

Additional relaxation (as per rules) may apply for PWBD (Persons with Benchmark Disability), Government/CSIR employees and divorced/widowed women.
