What's next: Mains and final selection
If your roll number appears in the shortlisted list, then congratulations! You are eligible to appear for the Main (Tier II) examination, which is scheduled on 28 October 2025.
After Mains, there is a regional language test (qualifying in nature) and then final document verification.
The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of performance in Tier II along with qualifying language test (and possibly weightage given to Tier I marks). The candidature of any candidate who does not appear at any stage will be cancelled.
Key points to remember
Even if you qualify Prelims, your performance in Mains becomes more important. Don't relax!
Keep your printouts and admit cards safe: You will need them for the next steps.
Update your personal details (if any) as required – especially address/email/mobile number – so that you can receive further communications.
Prepare for a language test (regional language) if applicable in your area.
In case of any discrepancy (name, roll number, category etc.) in your result sheet, contact OICL immediately. It is important to raise such issues early.
Why does this result matter?
The role of OICL Assistant is a prestigious opportunity. Apart from being a stable public sector job in a leading general-insurance company, it offers good salary and growth prospects. There is huge competition in the recruitment process of 500 Assistants across the country, hence the announcement of cut-off and result is being keenly watched.
For many candidates, this result is the culmination of months of preparation-revision, mock tests, previous papers and waiting. Seeing your roll number in the “Qualified for Next Stage” list is a big moment. But remember—this is the first step in the process.
